The 25th annual Queer Screen Mardi Gras Film Festival took place in Sydney between 15 February and 1 March 2018. It is one of Australia’s largest film festivals of any kind, and one of the top five queer film festivals in the world.
Celebrating their 25th anniversary, this year featured a stellar lineup of LGBTIQ shorts, features, documentaries and special events, including 30 Australian premieres.
We were pleased to support the film A Moment in the Reeds which captures the splendour of a Finnish midsummer and the rush of an intense love affair. We’re thrilled to have had first time director Mikko Makela and producer James Robert Watson in attendance at this year’s festival.
Some other fantastic British films at this year’s festival were: McKellen: Playing The Part, The Book of Gabrielle and Just Charlie.
