Applications have opened for the 2025 British Council Fellowship at Bundanon.
The British Council Fellowship will support a three-week residency for a UK based artist at the Bundanon Artist in Residence program. This residency includes a stipend toward the stay.
The British Council residency supports contemporary arts practice by providing space for artists to experiment, conceive, and develop new work and ideas in the areas of nature-based and rural arts, arts as place-based climate action, creative sense-making for present and future, collaboration between arts and science, culture as an ally in activism, and experiments in futures.
In Australia, the British Council’s work in Climate responds to Global Challenges by supporting the contemporary arts sector to imagine alternative and innovative ways to address, understand and raise awareness of climate challenges through creating new, artistic work and ideas based on lived experiences.
Bundanon’s Artist in Residence program is the largest of its kind in Australia and spans the organisation’s 30-year history. The program grows year-on-year and is structured through a series of partnerships with leading arts organisations and companies, cultural agencies and benefactors.
At the heart of the program is Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s shared vision for Bundanon as a creative space for contemporary artists of all kinds.
