UK artist Daniel Lismore

Daniel Lismore is a London-based artist, creative consultant, celebrity stylist, writer and campaigner.

Lismore is known for living his life as art – through elaborate and extravagant ensembles combining haute couture with vintage fabrics, found objects, chainmail, ethnic jewellery, millinery and more – in an expression of eccentric, creative energy. Multiple inspirations from around the world inform Lismore’s vibrant articulations of cultural appreciation.

Lismore has worked with celebrated photographers, including Mert & Marcus, Steven Klein, David LaChapelle and Ellen von Unwerth. Through Lismore’s unique sartorial viewpoint and wildly imaginative sculptures, he invites the fashion curious to question personal identity and the expression of individual style.

In Australia for the first time, Lismore presents Be Yourself: Everybody Else Is Already Taken, exploring his manifold inspirations, the development of his creative practice and the art of living sculpture.

About SCCI 2020 Fashion Hub

The Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas (SCCI) 2020 programmes for the Fashion Hub and Architecture Hub seek to elevate the conversations around fashion and architecture to prominence alongside other forms of cultural expression. The Foundation’s deliberately intimate and high-impact events explore intersections with these disciplines and the cultural, social, aesthetic and economic life of contemporary Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
