Australia’s largest exhibition of international contemporary art, the Biennale of Sydney returns on 18 Mar—5 Jun 2016.
2016 will mark the 20th Biennale of Sydney. This year's Artistic Director is Stephanie Rosenthal and its theme, inspired by a quote from leading science fiction author William Gibson, is titled 'The future is already here — it’s just not evenly distributed'.
This Biennale will be presented at seven main venues across Sydney conceived as ‘embassies of thought’. It will presented the work of 71 artists at seven venues, along with various ‘in-between projects’ around the city. The exhibition will feature nine UK artists, supported by the British Council.
